Walter White (Bryan Cranston) in Breaking Bad

Summary

Breaking Bad is all about a guy who realizes his true potential. The main character Walter White (Bryan Cranston) is a person who is being put to the test in every way. He finds out he has cancer and is given 3 months+ to live. The expenses for his treatment and any chance at surviving are astronomical. His 40 year old wife Skyler (Anna Gunn) is pregnant and their 16 year old sun has cerebral palsy. This guy is in a bad place… However…

He bounces back, he looks at his future and decides that risks will be rewarding.. He decides to do what he does best, science. Well to be honest he starts to make crystal meth. What can they do, lock him up for life!?!

My Thoughts

The show is really gritty. It is one of those shows that will make you turn your head a few times due to the graphical content. You might not want to eat a meal while you are watching the first season. This is a series most enjoyed in chronological order. If you just tune in for one episode you might be really confused.

I really liked this season, I watched all the episodes in about a week.

I give Breaking Bad – Season 1 a 4/5

You could watch this with anyone over the age of 14.

Great review. I just watched my first episode of Breaking Bad and I can certainly see this as the great show everyone talks about. I hope it continues to live up to the hype.

Did you watch the rest of the season?

I started season 2 but couldn’t get through it. Season 1 was a tough act to follow.
